Kamil Nowinski

Founder & owner of AzurePlayer* blog. The originator of “Ask SQL Family” podcast.
Database Architect & passionate about Microsoft Data Platform and solutions.
Happy husband & father of two daughters.
Microsoft Data Platform MVP, MCSE, Data Engineer & Architect.
Speaker, member of Data Community Poland,
Co-organiser of Data Relay Conference (UK).
Living in Stevenage, working in London, UK.

Over 20 years of programming and experience with SQL Server databases (since 2000 version) confirmed by certificates MCITP, MCP, MCTS, MCSA, MCSE Data Platform & Data management & analytics. I have been working both as a developer and as an administrator of big databases, still extending my solid experience in troubleshooting, development and deployment of database systems, automatisation, data warehouse modelling. Passion for tuning up database processes and maximising performance of database engine. Fan of well-formatted, code transparency, improvements in communications inside a team and Agile methodologies.

In Data Community Poland (former PLSSUG) association since 2010, at the beginning as a listener, later on as a speaker and co-leader of a branch in Wroclaw. Between 2012 and 2018 I have been the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Association. For several years a volunteer, speaker and co-organizer of the biggest SQL Server conference in Poland (SQLDay).

Before I moved to the UK, I was working as an architect on the project of building a data warehouse for the Ministry of Finance in e-duty programme. Currently, I’m expanding new horizons as a contractor in the UK market, making troubleshooting, prototyping BI and Big Data solutions, enhancing existing processes among Microsoft stuff environments, popularizing the DevOps approach and efficient solutions in the cloud.

An advocate of crossing own borders. I admire self-development, exploring new technology and sharing this knowledge with everybody who wants it. Addicted to giving aid, support, being a part and acting for SQL Community and meeting with #SQLFamily across Europe. Friend of Redgate since 2018.

Born in Wroclaw, Poland. Since 2015 I have been living and working in London, UK.
Privately happy husband and father of two wonderful girls.
